Our school directory follows the same six-tier, population-based system used by the Reserve Bank of India — not the informal "8 Tier 1 cities" list. That's why you'll find both metros and smaller towns represented here as it grows. Read the full breakdown on our RBI tier classification page.
Tier 1 — 1,00,000 and above
468 towns as per Census 2011 · includes all major metrosDelhi NCR's directory is live. The remaining metros and other Tier 1 cities are being added city by city.

How do I pitch a story?
Email journal@kptinycolours.com with a few lines describing your idea and who you are. A finished draft isn't required to pitch. We reply within 5 working days.
What length and topics do you accept?
Accepted pieces typically run 600–1,200 words, on early learning, classroom stories, parenting in a digital age, city school guides, admissions and curriculum, school infrastructure, teacher voices, and education data or policy.
Is the school directory the same as the "8 Tier 1 cities" list?
No. Our directory follows RBI's population-based classification, where Tier 1 alone includes over 460 cities as per the 2011 Census — not just the 8 metros commonly meant by "Tier 1 city." See our full RBI tier classification page for the difference.
